1.What are "3-pins" and "4-pins" mechanical grapples?
The difference can be clearly seen from the pictures. The "3-pins" mechanical grapple has 3 pins and the same rotation pin and bucket pin. (Check the photo on the left)
Obviously, the "4-pins" mechanical grapple in the photo on the right has 4 pins. (Check the photo on the right)
This is the difference in their structure.
2.Why is our grapple a "4-pins" design?
Advantages of the 4-pins design:
1."4-pins" grapples can use quick coupler, but "3-pins" can not use quick coupler connection
2.The "4-pins" grapple stick and the arm form a quadrilateral. (like right photo). The opening of grapple is larger and more flexible claws.
The "3-pins" grapple stick and the arm form a triangle. (like left photo)
This results in a smaller opening
Now you should know why we made "4-pins" mechanical grapples.
